The Platinum Vision home cinema design team can transform any room into a home cinema. From interior design and acoustic wall panels to custom designed cinema seating, from 3D to 4K image quality and 7.1 to Auro 3D surround sound, Platinum Vision supplies you with a complete turnkey solution.

Packages
Platinum Vision can offer you three design packages aligned to your budget. These comprise audio, projectors and screens, fitted acoustic treatment, and seating solutions from our partner Elite Home Theater Seating — from cost effective to top of the range in silk leather with “butt kickers” — from bespoke carpets to the products of Sylka and their Bling Black collection, which can be seen in our Experience Centre.
At Platinum House you can come and experience all of the above. We have a demonstration cinema with two different types of Elite home theatre seats — the basic range through to the top range in silk leather with butt kickers — an Auro 3D 16.2.2 surround sound system, a top-of-the-range Sony 4K 3D projector, full acoustic treatment and Sylka Bling Black carpet.
Distributed audio and background music
Platinum Vision understands that everyone’s appreciation of music, and the quality it is played at, is a purely personal choice — so whether you want to spend the minimum or max out on the most incredible sound system, that is your choice. We can provide you with that range of choices from many globally recognised manufacturers. For the audiophiles amongst us, we have 20 years of experience sourcing, installing and maintaining high-end music systems, from Wilson to Steinway Lyngdorf.
Content matters too. Whether your preference is Sonos as a music media source, streaming from your iPhone, or the classic resurgence of vinyl, we will give you access to play all these sources in one room or all simultaneously at the touch of a button — allowing you to control different volume levels in different rooms.
Cinema lighting
At Platinum Vision we not only help design and supply the lights, we also integrate them into our control systems for seamless and smooth dimming. Working with partners like Philips Dynalite and Crestron, we can provide fantastic, reliable solutions. Our lighting team can provide solutions for architectural, decorative, landscape and façade lighting — we can supply your design and find alternatives to match your budget.
Video distribution
Distributed video means that all your media feeds — OSN, du, Apple TV and the rest — can be centrally located in the rack and available on every TV around the house, so your media follows you. Crestron allows you to distribute 3D and 4K content to every corner of the home. Whether you are in the master bedroom, the office or the family sitting room, you can watch your recorded programmes, sporting events and films.

See a cinema room before you commit to one
A home cinema is the hardest part of a villa to judge from a drawing or a specification sheet. Seat spacing, how dark the room really goes, whether dialogue is clear at the back row — none of it reads on paper. There is a demonstration cinema in our Dubai Hills Experience Centre for exactly that reason. An hour in it settles most decisions, and usually saves money by ruling things out.
The room matters as much as the equipment
Most disappointing cinema rooms have decent kit in an untreated room. Because we build the joinery and interiors, the acoustic treatment, riser, seating layout and lighting are drawn together rather than negotiated afterwards — which is the difference between a big television in a dark room and a cinema.
- Room and riser — sightlines and seat spacing set before the screen size is chosen, not after.
- Acoustic treatment — panels and fabric detailed as part of the interior, so treatment looks intentional.
- Cinema seating — from sofas to reclining rows, upholstered to match the scheme.
- Lighting — dimmable scenes, step and aisle lighting, integrated into one control system.

Common questions
How much space does a home cinema need?
A dedicated room works from roughly 4.5 by 6 metres for a comfortable two rows. Below that, a well-executed media room is usually the better answer — and we will say so rather than force a cinema into a room that cannot hold one.
Can you convert an existing room?
Frequently, and it is often the best value in a villa — a spare majlis, a garage or a basement. The variables are ceiling height, whether the room can be darkened, and how much noise can be allowed to escape.
Projector or a large screen?
A projector for a dedicated dark room; a large LED screen for a room that doubles as living space in daylight. The room decides, not the budget.
What does a home cinema cost in Dubai?
The range is wide because the room drives it as much as the equipment. Rather than quote a figure that means nothing, we will price your actual room after a visit — and show you the difference between the tiers in the demonstration cinema first.
